Explore M1 Collection
From your first apartment to a home that evolves with you, the M1 Collection makes it easy. Build your ideal setup with versatile seating designed to look beautiful, feel comfortable, and adapt over time.
When fully expanded, the total height is 63cm/24.8″ —measured from the bottom to the top of the backrest— which places the couch in the low-profile category. As for the seat height, the couch measures 38cm/15″ —the distance from the bottom to the seating surface. The classic low-profile design helps create an open and spacious look, making smaller spaces feel more airy and inviting.
Do I need tools to assemble my sofa?
No. The M1 Sofa is designed for tool-free assembly. Just unpack each module from its compact box, allow the foam to fully expand, and connect the pieces using hidden high-grade YKK zippers for a stable setup in minutes. Manufactured in Japan by Yoshida Kōgyō Kabushikigaisha, YKK is recognized as the world’s leading zipper brand headquartered in Japan.
How does the couch-in-a-box work?

Once unpacked, the modules naturally expands into its full shape — no complicated setup or tools required. Simply connect the modules and enjoy flexible comfort in any space.
How do I clean the couch?
M1's Performance Weave repels liquid. If a spill occurs, quickly soak up the spill with an absorbent towel. If marks remain, dampen a cloth with warm water and gently dab away stains.
How much weight can it support?
The M1 Sofa is engineered with Rove Lab’s SmartFoam™ technology, designed to prevent damage from weight. It took a 10-ton press to condense the couch into its revolutionary packaging.
Does the sofa change form over time?
Everything wears over time, but Rove Lab’s SmartFoam technology is engineered to maintain shape, support, and comfort through years of everyday use. Our lifetime warranty ensures you can receive a replacement sofa anytime under the warranty terms.
What is covered by the warranty?
The Rove Lab warranty covers everything. Rove Lab offer a 3-year warranty with free replacement coverage for eligible products.
For SmartFoam™ products beyond the initial 3-year warranty period, customers may still qualify for a replacement by covering only 50% of the current retail value. This replacement program helps cover shipping and handling costs, allowing customers to receive a brand-new Rove Lab couch at a significantly reduced replacement cost.
Is the M1 Sofa spill-resistant?
Yes. The M1 Sofa is upholstered in spill-proof fabric that helps protect against everyday accidents, giving you more time to clean up spills and making everyday maintenance effortless.
Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.7 / 5 from 597 reviews.
I love the feel of the fabric, and firmness of the foam in my M1 couch. The price is great for what I got, and coming in a box made it the easiest and safest option to get into my bachelor unit.
There had been issues with delivery, but the customer service representative helping me was professional and curtious. They followed through until my items arrived.
I couldn't be happier, and would highly recommend them!!
I’m more of a soft sofa person but i absolutely love this sofa. It is firm but doesn’t have that uncomfortable feeling most firm sofas have. It’s wide enough for two people to lay down and watch TV or just get cozy. I love this sofa and would definitely recommend it!!
Couch and ottoman arrived on time and well packaged. They definitely took a full week to fully expand and fill in, but that was to be expected. Super firm and comfortable considering it’s just one giant cushion. I love the fact that if I want to later, I can add a section to make it a couch because it all zippers together. So far, I’m loving it and am very happy with my purchase.
Extremely fast shipping.
The boxes are small and easy to move. Once you slice open the vacuum sealed package, the magic happens! Each section quickly expanded. The two pieces were easy to zip together. After 48 hours, the couch was ready to be used.
It’s firm, yet comfy. It’s strong, but lightweight enough to move around if needed. Highly recommend!!
It’s very comfortable and I’m impressed with their customer service.
My not so perfect piece was replaced right away.
The only downside is the back cushion is a bit too low. Not easy to rest your head while watching TV.
Amazing, super comfortable. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the fabric is thin and after fully expanded I spotted a couple of fibers loose. Sitting, shifting, and rubbing can pull loose fibers to the surface after frequent use overtime. But my M1 loveseat is pretty new and I was not expecting to see this happening after a couple of weeks.
Clean design, premium feel, and surprisingly comfortable. The M1 Loveseat fits perfectly in my space and instantly elevated the whole room. Love the modular flexibility and overall build quality, a great balance between style and everyday comfort.
Excellent little sofa. Bought the M1 loveseat, was exactly as descibed/pictured. Very easy to assemble and perfect for us as access to our front room (upa spiral staircase) is very limited.
Also extremely comfortable to sit on. Excellent value for money. Will be buiying the bad next !
It is beautiful, comfy and large enough to lay down for a nap. After 24hrs it almost fully expanded. Very easy assembly, remove from wrappers and wait for expansion. One very happy customer.
I love Rove Lab sofa soooo much!! It.came in two boxes and was straightforward to put together; no tools needed, which I loved. The SmartFoam is genuinely comfortable and makes a noticeable difference. The sofa feels cozy and supportive and the colour and styling suit my new place perfectly. Definitely one of my favourite pieces at home now — highly recommend.
Love the design. Colour doesn’t really reflect what l thought l would receive. It looks like a much deeper green however one arm is sitting lop sided and it really is bugging me. You see all the marketing photos of perfectly symmetrical lines and for the most part mine is good except the one wonky arm which makes it look cheap.
Stop scrolling. This copper tan RoveLab sofa completely changed my living room. The color is rich and warm. It instantly makes the space feel elevated. The deep cushions are soft, supportive, and perfect for lounging.
Comfort and design in one piece.
This is not just a sofa.
It is the centerpiece of the room.
This sofa is unbelievably comfortable! It’s a good size for a loveseat that’s for sure. It is a bit low to the ground and because it is the same size as a twin bed I raised it 4 inches with a platform bed frame.
